    Installing the Auxiliary Power Supply

Follow these instructions for installing the auxiliary power supply
    1. Check the adapter to make sure that the plastic jumper blocks are set
    as follows:

1055 adapter: Remove jumper blocks from pins of jumpers W3
    and W4

Jumper Positions for the 1055 Adapter
W1 - W2 (Disk/Tape selection): These jumpers should always be set toward
the middle of the board (the disk position).

    W3 - W4 (+5V & + 12V): These power jumpers are normally jumpered to
allow + 5V and + 12V to power the external floppy drives or tape drive
from the internal power supply of the computer.

It is possible that you may need to have other cards plugged into the
system that excessively load down the internal power supply. In this
case, these jumpers should be removed and a SYSGEN external power supply
can be used to power the external drives.

    Covers 1055 as well.
