Two short beeps, continuously repeats. Can't find beep code translation

I just bought a Model 80 Reply board (TurboProcessor) from eBay, and it seems to be dead.
In its original configuration, it makes several abnormally high-pitched beeps spaced a few seconds apart, with some low ones occasionally too (it seems almost random). No video is shown on screen.
However, if I remove the Dallas DS1387 RTC chip, it continuously outputs two normal-pitch short beeps, and outputs a sync signal to the monitor (no text however).
Is two repeating short beeps an actual intended beep code, or just some random occurrence generated by some arbitrary malfunction? I can't seem to find any information online.
I tested all of the socketed PALs + Flash BIOS in my working Reply board and they all seem to be fine. However, there's also an inbuilt BIOS somewhere on the board that is used to bootstrap the Flash BIOS, which could still possibly be corrupted. Anyone
know which chip it is? Could it be U15 (93c46 1K EEPROM)?
