    Floppy related, probably floppy tape.

Can it be used/abused to hook up clone floppies to a PS/2, or is this leaverite, as in leave 'er right there...

I need to do some testing before I can speak the MAD truth, but
    hallucinating, I think it was made for a model 60, 65, 80 for a 5.1/4"
FDD, the 3 pins header I AM sure they are VCC output ([+5][Gnd][+12]),
which mean it can be used with a clone FDD.

if I only can dig my model 65, Ian knows what I am Talking about!

Since you are so inspired, what of that 26 pin header?

    Uh, drivers...

If this is a pass-through that uses the sysboard FDC, I'd expect it
comes up as B: or D:

If there is a separate card, I suspect it would need drivers.

I have had some of these come in systems that I have received. They had a internal tape drive 3 1/2"
but most of them had a ribbon cable that went to a external PS/2 slot connector ( like 50 pin ) to an external 5 1/4" metal floppy drive case
I have at least one CMS 5 1/4" external floppy drive around here some place (about the same size as an external 5 1/4" Back Pack external drive metal case..)
I would guess that you would need special drivers to make them work...

without going in details, the notch on the header sems to be reveresed ??

and if true, pin 34 would be 1??

If my much abused memory works, the Think Pads used a 26 pin connector
    for an external floppy.
