• Looking for 3.5" floppy disk drive for my 9557

From Pertti Helander@21:1/5 to All on Sun Feb 19 13:09:58 2023
3.5" floppy disk drive in my 9557 is faulty and doesn´t read or write any disk.
So I must replace it with other one so I removed it.
It has a label 2.88 MB FRU 64F4148 and I´m looking to buy the same.
I checked on Ardent Tool website that also FRU 92F0132 or 85F0050 fits to it. If someone here has a working fdd to sell please contact me here or email!

Does the drive show any signs of life at all? Activity light, spindle motor?

You might want to try cleaning the drive, inspecting the PCB(s), and
recapping it if necessary. Most PS/2 floppy drives are affected by
    leaking electrolytic capacitors.

Meh, we should have waited with the shipment. I might have a spare drive somewhere.

When I start my 57 after CPs the 240mb scsi hdd tries to start and then the ligh of fdd went on
and the drive tries to read refdisk but fails. This chain begins over and over and gives I9990021 error message.
I tried to clean fdd with 3.5" cleaning disk with lens cleaning liquid but it didn´t help.
