• Orbic Journey V is trash

Wendt over to Charter, got their flip phone, the Orbic. Battery hardly
lasts 4 days. Not very smart, it won't change back to the home screen if
you close it. So you have to use the back button alot. Loves to wandt to
change volume if you press a button while it's in your pocket. Software
    is NOT ready.

I use this as a phone. Turned off the data. Yet it doesn't last half as
long as my old 3G LG 5500 "Chocolate"

Bummer, LG has discontinued ALL mobile phones, smart and flip...

Charter [aka Spectrum] has ONE flip phone, the Orbic. It looks that a
phone must be 4G at a minimum, but they sure as hell wandt you to buy a smartphone....

Yep, the "Spectrum One" or "Spectrum Phone" plans expect you to provide a 4G or 5G smartphone, as Verizon wants to eliminate the 3G network entirely (they aren't there yet, but they're trying). When new, the battery on my Motorola G Power (2020 edition)
lasted for a little over 2 weeks, now it gets about 1 week before it needs to be recharged. That's still better than many Android or Apple phones, some of which require daily recharging. Back when I was using my LG Accolade VX5600 flip phone on Verizon
(circa 2011), I could go almost a month between charges. "With great power comes short battery life"

Called Spectrum, got forwarded to their mobile device support. The tech
could [or would] not identify models that would work. Her suggestion was
to contact the manufacturer for the IMEI...

LG quit making phones in 2022, sigh...

If you try the "Bring Your Own Device" menu, you get Apple, Google, LG, Samsung, Motorola... I didn't notice any current flip phone makers...
