It's great to be back, everyone. I recognize some of the names posting
here. Many of my stalwart old newsgroups are no more so, I'm looking
around for some new places to hang out.

I love helping people, so this looks like an appropriate group for that.
And, if I can wipe away some of the cobwebs from going so long without
posting, I believe I remember posting here a few times over the years.

Modern medical practices enabled me to come back and do what I love
    again.

What impostor "Blinky" wrote is utter BS.
I top posted for maximum impact.

I watched Blinky in news.software.readers as he died of vomiting,
diarrhoea and dehydration over several days, finally to go silent.
He was the leading light of the Usenet Improvement Project and is sorely missed.

That sounds terrible and heartbreaking. What heartless individual
    would even go there?

Answer: check his headers -- all will be revealed.

They took BlinkyNet away from me while I have been extremely ill. It's
taken me 16 years to get back into shape enough to even make a post. I
was extremely ill with a super-flu, which greatly affected my heart, my
    mind, and my circulatory system.

Alas, though, I did not perish but went completely dark and silent,
nearest thing to a coma there is while still being aware and able to
    minimally function.

Last week, I came out of the haze and amazed my loved ones and am ready to start living again.

I see that one of my main missions of eradicating Google Group users from
our beloved Usenet was finally achieved. The work I did on that before
going silent is surely what led to this; I'll try stay humble.

The long Eternal September is finally over, both for me and for all of
    Usenet.

I didn't die and you didn't "watch" anything. I mentioned several times
that I was feeling ill and described the symptoms but that was it. Who are
you to say you saw me die?

Troy Piggins thought I was dead because I vanished off Usenet back in
'09. He was a friend of mine online and he just freaked out, I guess, and
told everyone I was dead because of my wife.

Being almost dead isn't dead dead. My wife told everyone trying to contact
me I was dead just so she didn't have to explain what happened to me and couldn't be bothered.

In the intervening 16 years where I was non-verbal and bed-ridden, she
passed away. She turned out to be a horrible person and would regularly
have sex with other men right in front of me knowing I could not object or prevent it and then would ridicule me and tease me afterwards.

I have fond memories of that group and the people there but it seems dead

I was also a regular on:

my heart, my mind, and my circulatory system.

Alas, though, I did not perish but went completely dark and silent,
nearest thing to a coma there is while still being aware and able to
    minimally function.

Last week, I came out of the haze and amazed my loved ones and am
    ready to start living again.

I see that one of my main missions of eradicating Google Group users
from our beloved Usenet was finally achieved. The work I did on that
before going silent is surely what led to this; I'll try stay humble.

The long Eternal September is finally over, both for me and for all
    of Usenet.

16 year coma?? what have the doctors said?

    He's fake.
