  • The GUI Is A Return To Barbaric Hieroglyphs

    Ancient cultures, like the Egyptians, used cumbersome and limiting
    hieroglyphs as their language.

    More advanced societies used an alphabet-based language which
    allowed far greater expressiveness and freedom of thought.

    In fact, the Greeks disparagingly referred to Egyptians as
    "bar bar" which is the root of our words "barbaric" and
    "barbarism."

    The GUI, beloved by most idiots, is actually a return to the
    hieroglyphs of long dead cultures.

    Icons are hieroglyphs. Drag and drop is hieroglyph based.
    Emoticons are hieroglyphs.

    Anyone who favors the GUI is very much a primitive barbarian
    and should be treated as such.

    Put that, barbarians, in you pipe and smoke it.
