    Whether they admit so or not, most GNU/Linux users are unabashed freeloaders. They interpret FOSS as "free beer" and not "freedom."

    Well, let these shameless moochers read the "manifesto" of the Exherbo
    distro, and these words should also flash across the installation screens
    of every other distro:

    "First of all you need to understand that using Exherbo is an active commitment.
    We fully expect you to help with development or other parts of the project."

    "Secondly you’re expected to read relevant documentation including everything in Exherbo and relevant man pages when running into problems."

    "You’re to think for yourself. Exherbo is not a system where we document everything
    so you’ll need a basic understanding of how Linux systems work"

    "Give back to the community. The community is giving you a lot more than just the bits and bytes making up packages."

    Of course, Linux Mint is a distro that is enjoyed and beloved and
    cherished by many people. It's not a dud and boring clunk of plodding aggravation and irritation like Gentoo.
