Fedora comes in many flavors. KDE recently became a first class option
along with GNOME but there are spins for most DEs.

I wouldn't recommend it for someone who doesn't like doing updates. I
check every 2 or 3 days and there are usually a lot. It's been stable for
me since KDE/Plasma/Wayland settled down a while back.
