This time was different as there was a LOT of blood and nothing was
working.
So my wife took me to the local ER before I bled out.
I could not believe what I saw.
It was like a fucking third world nation.
No place to sit because migrants with seemingly endless numbers of

And then they were yapping away in Spanish, I think, but none of them

So fortunately triage worked and I was taken in quickly, blood soaked

So once I calmed down I asked the nurse wtf was going on with the

Our schools, medical facilities, homeless shelters and streets are

My wife is a teacher and she tells me everyday about students enrolling
in the school who cannot speak English and require special ed. And
while this has always been the case, the current numbers are far larger
than in the past and the multitude of various different native
languages is great and makes it even more difficult to assist these
students.
I'm sick of this shit and so are many others here in CA.
I pay 1000's into health insurance each year and even though I rarely
make claims, when I or my wife do it's always the same run around with
the insurance company trying to deny claims.
Yet people who climbed across the fence get it all for free, at least

Wow. There's a lot to unpack in this stew of resentment, misinformation, and outright dehumanization. Let's start with the language: calling human beings "parasites" is not just vile -- it's the kind of rhetoric used to justify cruelty, neglect, and worse. If you're that comfortable dehumanizing kids and families trying to survive, you might want to take a long look in the mirror before ranting about "what's disgusting."
You complain about California being a "welfare state" while ignoring that it's
also the fifth largest economy in the world -- in no small part because of immigrant labor and a diverse population. The state subsidizes many of the red
states that love to bash it while cashing the federal checks its economy helps
fund.
Now about those kids your wife teaches: she's helping children who are multilingual and navigating a foreign culture and system. That's not a burden
-- that's a remarkable opportunity to build global citizens. If you think it's
"disgusting" that a public school is serving all children regardless of background or language, maybe public service isn't the right career path for either of you.
You whine about paying into health insurance and not getting good coverage -- welcome to the private, profit-driven system conservatives have fought to protect for decades. Liberals have been the ones trying to fix it, expand coverage, regulate insurance companies,
and make healthcare a human right.
And as for the tired "Biden welcomed millions of illegals" nonsense: no, he didn't.You're right: his HANDLERS did.

The profits of insurance companies are regulated. Also, why is it that United
Healthcare stock has skyrocketed since the enactment of Obamacare?
You're not wrong that insurance company profits are technically "regulated" in
the sense that Obamacare (the ACA) introduced medical loss ratio (MLR) rules requiring insurers to spend at least 80-85% of premiums on actual care. But that doesn't mean the system isn't still highly profitable for them.
UnitedHealth and others have thrived since the ACA largely because they adapted by:
* shifting heavily into Medicare Advantage and Medicaid managed care, both of which are taxpayer-funded programs where they skim administrative fees and cherry-pick healthier patients.
* consolidating and buying up pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), urgent care chains, and other verticals, letting them control more of the healthcare dollar.
Also worth pointing out: the basic model of Obamacare - using private insurers, requiring people to buy coverage, and subsidizing low-income customers - came straight from the very conservative Heritage Foundation in the 1980s and was first implemented in Massachusetts under Republican Governor
Mitt Romney. It was designed as a market-friendly alternative to single-payer.
Liberals supported it as a compromise to expand coverage, but many still argue
for stronger reforms like a public option or even Medicare for All to break the grip of profit-driven care.
So yes, UnitedHealth's stock is booming - it's proof of how entrenched private
insurers are and why real reform is needed.

"Handlers"? That's a meaningless talking point. Biden was the president, and
he made policy decisions in consultation with his cabinet and advisors -- like
every president before him. If you're talking about immigration, the reality is illegal border crossings increased sharply under Trump (2020 hit historic highs) and continued under Biden largely because of post-COVID global migration spikes, political instability in Latin America, and labor demand in the U.S.
Biden actually kept many Trump-era border policies in place (like Title 42 until courts forced changes) and increased deportations and removals in some categories. If you're serious about immigration reform, that's a bipartisan failure going back decades.
