Probably right, but I think InfoWars is pretty much anti-Catholic
anyhow. So I'll wait and see before rushing to judgement.

Robert Martin thinks he is a great choice. That's not a good sign. I'm
pretty sure he's not another Leo XIII. 'Rerum Novarum' is one of the most intelligent encyclicals I've ever read. The doctrines led to G.K.
Chesterton and Hilaire Belloc's distributism. Sadly they also led to the Italians trying to blend Marxism without the materialism into Catholicism.

    I don't believe that Alex Jones is anti-anything except anti-tyranny. I
know that he's had a Vatican expert on the show on numerous occasions to
reveal some of the less pleasant things about it though. Of course, we
all benefit from learning the Vatican's dark secrets.

I'm not against learning about "Vatican's dark secrets," so long as it also acknowledged that Protestantism and Judaism have just as bad or even worse problems along this line. But it's usually not presented that way. It's usually produced in a way to make Catholics the outliers, and ignore that
the Protestant churches and Orthodox Jews have very serious issues also.

That said, Catholics are members of the one, true and holy Church and should be held to a higher standard — but they aren't unique in their sins when compared to other religions.

I see it the same way but I have to admit that the Vatican isn't doing
itself any favours by electing Popes who compromise on the traditional
    beliefs.

I'm not a big fan of Alex Jones. His whole show seems to be a platform to hawk crap. A "patriot" for profit.

I bought some stuff from him and it's honestly good quality stuff. He
does it because he needs to sustain himself now that the traditional
platforms have made it impossible for him to make money.

No argument there. Instead of talking about the Gospel, the first thing
this new pope is talking about is the dangers of AI. While I personally
think AI is crap, shouldn't the pope's primary concern be for the
    salvation of souls?
Although, I guess, he is trying to tie the AI crap in with the social teaching of Leo XIII (his namesake). Except Leo XIII lived in an era
where the traditional teaching of the Church was the norm, so he didn't
have to address the issue. Not the case now.

hawk something. That said, I'm not in favor of all the crap they're
doing to him either — typical hypocrisy from the Woke mob.

He wasn't the first -- Art Bell used to hawk stuff like storable
    food for Y2K.

He's certainly the worst, though, after his Sandy Hook debacle. What
    a sleazebag.

Can't argue with you there. It's going to be dangerous on the roads if
they actually allow these driverless trucks on the highways. Not to
mention a lot of other issues.

As for Pope Leo XIV, there's rumors (hopefully true) that he says the Traditional Latin Mass regularly and even had Pope Francis' permission (indult) to say them in a smaller Vatican chapel.

If true, that's good news. But all the "news" seems to go back to one
source. Someone named Patrick Coffin, so I'll have to wait and see if
there is any truth to the rumor.

thing this new pope is talking about is the dangers of AI. While I
personally think AI is crap, shouldn't the pope's primary concern be
    for the salvation of souls?
Although, I guess, he is trying to tie the AI crap in with the social
teaching of Leo XIII (his namesake). Except Leo XIII lived in an era
where the traditional teaching of the Church was the norm, so he
didn't have to address the issue. Not the case now.

I can't complain about the new Pope warning about AI. It is indeed a
problem and going to become more so in the next few years. It's bad
enough that screens and social media have made our kids anxious,
unmotivated, depressed and often suicidal, AI is also exacerbating
    their intellectual laziness.

Can't argue with you there. It's going to be dangerous on the roads if
they actually allow these driverless trucks on the highways. Not to
mention a lot of other issues.

As for Pope Leo XIV, there's rumors (hopefully true) that he says the
Traditional Latin Mass regularly and even had Pope Francis' permission
(indult) to say them in a smaller Vatican chapel.

If true, that's good news. But all the "news" seems to go back to one
source. Someone named Patrick Coffin, so I'll have to wait and see if
there is any truth to the rumor.

I'm not a big fan of Alex Jones. His whole show seems to be a
platform to hawk crap. A "patriot" for profit.

I bought some stuff from him and it's honestly good quality stuff. He >>>>> does it because he needs to sustain himself now that the traditional >>>>> platforms have made it impossible for him to make money.

The last time I saw Alex Jones doing his show, InfoWars was still
going strong (several years ago). He was already often interrupting
himself to hawk something. That said, I'm not in favor of all the crap >>>> they're doing to him either — typical hypocrisy from the Woke mob.

As long as there is a good chance you're voting for the left, you can
be a pedophile, you can advocate for abortion, you can be an obvious
guy pretending to be a woman and you can preach death to whoever.
However, if you're an honest family man who works a steady job, pays
his taxes, follows the law, goes to church, loves his wife and kids but
_might_ vote for the right, you need to have your life destroyed or be
    killed.

    True.

    You misspelled "false". HTH. HAND.

Probably right, but I think InfoWars is pretty much anti-Catholic >>>>>>>>>> anyhow. So I'll wait and see before rushing to judgement.

I don't believe that Alex Jones is anti-anything except
anti-tyranny. I know that he's had a Vatican expert on the show on >>>>>>>>> numerous occasions to reveal some of the less pleasant things about >>>>>>>>> it though. Of course, we all benefit from learning the Vatican's >>>>>>>>> dark secrets.

I'm not against learning about "Vatican's dark secrets," so long as >>>>>>>> it also acknowledged that Protestantism and Judaism have just as bad >>>>>>>> or even worse problems along this line. But it's usually not
presented that way. It's usually produced in a way to make Catholics >>>>>>>> the outliers, and ignore that the Protestant churches and Orthodox >>>>>>>> Jews have very serious issues also.

That said, Catholics are members of the one, true and holy Church >>>>>>>> and should be held to a higher standard — but they aren't unique in >>>>>>>> their sins when compared to other religions.

I see it the same way but I have to admit that the Vatican isn't >>>>>>> doing itself any favours by electing Popes who compromise on the >>>>>>> traditional beliefs.

No argument there. Instead of talking about the Gospel, the first

Showing off your truck? It's kind of creepy.

    You don't recognize the driver.
