Some of the developers aren't enthused about Rust. But I think that
Linus is, as usual, correct. Rust is a better, inherently more
    secure, language.

Apparently, there is a tremendous performance hit from using Rust over
    C. I don't know if newer machines will even notice, but it would be
    problematic on older hardware.

Compilation is slower but I don't know about performance. The rust fans
are very vocal and comparisons devolve into religious wars. Some are done
by C programmers that aren't very good at writing rust. Others are done by
rust programmers and are heavily salted with 'unsafe'.

    Not true, numbskull.

Rust is a crutch, nay, a wheelchair, for incompetent C programmers.

Kohanna-Hartmann, the #2 kernel developer, indicates that virtually all
bugs that have crept into the kernel over the years are due to C programming incompetence.

So what is the solution? They want to bring in Rust as a crutch for these stupid incompetents.

My solution would be to get rid of all the idiot C programmers. Throw
them all out and bring in people who actually can wield C effectively.

That would be the best solution by far and would ensure the efficiency
and performance of the kernel for the long term.

Rust, in constast, would slowly pollute the kernel over time and create
    a junk OS.

However, much of this may be moot. After all, the critical portions
of the kernel are written in ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE and that is the best
    language of all.

    In conclusion:

Fuck Rust! That language should be strangled in the cradle and
all Rust advocates should be given the noose.

They need you to save them, "C Programmer Extraordinaire" and "assembly language genius".

    Problem is you're a fraud.
