I don't get it, how do these files get "corrupted"?
Apparently, a clean shutdown is not enough. You need to pet the machine
and whisper sweet nothings into its vents or it'll start cutting itself.
I'm looking at
microsoft.com's info, it's not clear how that happens in the first
place. I thought these files were protected by the OS.
It's embarrassing. The fact that the operating system keeps breaking
itself is the reason why it becomes "slow" over time for a majority of
its users. The problem is that the users have no idea how to fix this
and there is no useful utility which does these kinds of repairs for
them. They'll clean the cache and properly uninstall software, but they
won't usually touch the system files. Meanwhile, these are at the root
of most of their issues.
