Isn’t it just a matter of editing a config file that contains a list of package repositories?
The most likely reason I can think of for rejecting a repo is if it
doesn’t have a valid signing key.
In studying the file structure of 2020 base version of Tumbleweed (It
has been "zypper dup" many times). In the newest download of "xine-ui"
Suse has limited some ?illegal? options placing it in an entirely
different directory structure than on the 2020 install.
Since Packman got around these limits, I am beginning to think with
quick installs (1 click), Suse does not want their newest product
compromised so easily by so many. In my day 2020 install Suse was
supplying "ogg" audio - a (1-click) at Packman supplied all needed for
the "mp3" audio in use by most. Suse (at the time) did not supply it but actually encouraged going to Packman for those who wanted it.
In playing with LEAP, I just discovered that Suse's "xine-ui" does play professional DVDs (movies, etc.) So I guess I'm satisfied, so far.
Thanks for replys. In the another packman repository "mirror" I did get
set up, I found the *.rpm and downloaded what came through as an
"UNKNOWN" (0Byte) download.
