    Hi Andrzej,

Any chance that this distribution be installable in bare metal? I'm currently tinkering with the original system on 486-class hardware but after looking into the archive, I'm interested in installing it on newer hardware (and networking!).

    Thanks!
    Simon

I'm able to use start Coherent inside VirtualBox using your disk file. However, I am not able to telnet to the Coherent VM. Any instructions I can follow to make it work. I want to connect to Coherent using putty.

Explained in great detail here: https://www.autometer.de/unix4fun/coherent/
I don't know about the VM's from Andrzej though, I'm using my own.

I actually did have your version up and running on my windows host. I did apply your changes to Andrzej's VM as well but it fail to work.

I try Andrzej's version because according to his instruction, his version contains gcc and he suggests to use 1 GB of memory. So I'm a kind of curious to see how he can do that (i.e. over the 16 MB boundary)

Also Andrzej's verison seems to have the networking capability (i.e. through the NAT mode, I can use lynx connect to some external web site)

I start another conversation on your version as I don't want to hijack this thread.

Maybe Andrzej's version is not using telnet as the login tool, maybe ssh. (just guessing)

OK, I dont know about the differences, Andrzej probably can answer this.

If it is just gcc you want, that is included on my VM's also, actually the complete GNU stuff.

This is not an issue, traffic here is very very low nowadays, but still nice to read people with
    good behaviour :-)
