  • Music software

    I have a relative who doesn't play music written with 4 sharps or 4 flats.

    He would like to have some kind of software, preferably free, that can transpose the score to another key. He used the phrase "a step up" or
    "a step down" in asking me about a program. Plus, needed to adjust any
    guitar chords that are on the sheet music.

    I'm not a musician, and from what I gather/understand, the original
    music would have to be scanned and then transposed.

    A Windows computer will likely be used.

    Any recommendations?
