  • Screen brightness

    Recently whenever I open my phone the brightness slider has moved to the
    left.
    Is there some setting to handle this?

    Is the automatic adjustment to ambient light active? Turn it off.

    "Phone" doesn't say which brand and model you have. I can only tell you
    what my LG V20 has for automatic brightness setting.

    Android settings -> Display -> Brightness, Auto setting

    I turned that off because it never guesses correctly what brightness to
    use for its display compared to ambient brightness for my eyes, plus it
    can fluctuate its brightness when sitting on my desk when there is no
    change in ambient brightness.

    I'm assuming you are not hitting the volume keys on the side of the
    phone when handling your phone from wherever it is stored. I do that
    too often, so I have to readjust brightness.
