I subscribe to Quora, a kind of blog.

It publishes questions and responses, often on current affairs matters including politics as well as historical matters.

Often the postings enclose an image that should lead to a video clip.

On my Xiaomi Android Version 11, the image just disappear.

Do you mean that the image you see on screen disappears after you click
on it, or the video doesn't appear?

I have reported it to Quora who returned a polite thank you but nothing
has changed. Is it possible that the problem is with Androidm the
    version or my settings?

Post a link to a page that you have trouble with. I'll try it with my
Xiaomi Note 10 (Android 13) and, for interest, my Linux Mint laptop.

It used to let me view a couple of articles without signing-in, then it started nagging, of course you could just clear cookies and get another couple of articles ... today it's insisting on signing-up.

You have to clear cookies /and/ internet history. Then you can look at
more articles. Repeat for further articles.

I don't think you're missing much. It went downhill the moment they insisted you could only ask a single line question and it was no longer possible to add supplementary explanation. Now it's full of people bragging they're a Senior Whatever, it mixes up different questions in the same set of responses, and
    it has AI garbage too.

Not seen articles with videos though, perhaps you have to be logged in to
    see those?

    It happened with this one:

    https://qr.ae/pA0d70

That doesn't play with my Android 13 and Firefox 141.0.1 or Vivaldi 7.5.3737.149. The webpage loads ok, but on clicking on the video arrow
    the video turns white.

The webpage does, however, load ok and the videos play with Linux Mint
22.1 and Firefox 141.0.2. They will not, however, play with LM 22.1 and
Vivaldi 7.5.3735.58 or Pale Moon 33.8.1.2!

I'm not sure what to make of that!

Same results as Andy, i.e. blank background where the picture was
before clicking on it. Both on Android 15 and Windows 11, both with
    Google Chrome.

So it's a Quora issue, nothing to do with Android or Windows or any
    browser.
