SOT - BBC news app

From Jeff Layman@21:1/5 to All on Fri Nov 29 18:32:25 2024

It's not common but sometimes the BBC news app reports: ______________________________________
!
Sorry, there was a problem loading this content

Please try again"
______________________________________

However, if I immediately open a browser (Firefox or Vivaldi) and try
the https://www.bbc.co.uk/news webpage, that works without problem. The
app issue is known, but most "explanations" involve other servers other
than the BBC one working (in this case, however, it seems to be the same server): <https://www.quora.com/On-the-BBC-news-app-there-are-certain-articles-which-when-I-tap-on-say-there-was-a-%E2%80%98problem-loading-this-content-even-though-I-have-data-WiFi-on-and-other-articles-and-apps-work-perfectly-why-is-this>

It's a problem which has affected Apple TV too (hence SOT): <https://www.reddit.com/r/appletv/comments/1crm6is/there_was_a_problem_loading_this_content_i_am/>

Anyone else experienced this issue?
