As with anything extremely lucratively marketed, residential outdoor
pool maintenance information on the net is fraught with very bad (and
just plain dead wrong) advice - to the point that almost everything you
think you believe about pool chemistry - is highly likely to be wrong.
For example, don't believe a word told to you by pool stores, as almost everything they sell is not only unnecessary - but has negative impact.
