• Lenovo tablet stratup problem

From Jim the Geordie@21:1/5 to All on Wed Jul 17 18:20:08 2024
Some times when my wife goes to switch on her 8" Lenovo tablet the
screen does not respond to touch. I was recommended to hold the power
button for 30 seconds which corresponds to 3 restarts - then it works
normally for the rest of the day.
OK that's problem solved - until next time.
What is the problem and can I stop it happening?
Only about 12 of 16 Gb storage in use.

My electric Ryobi weed whacker exhibits a similar problem. A cheesy

    a simple canopy switch.

QC ain't what it used to be.

Why do they call it a canopy switch?

I think it's a switch problem. My Lenovo was fine until it stopped
turning on. Youtube instructions (take apart, put back together again) worked for a few times, but now not at all. When the back is off I can
turn it on with the switch, but not when it's put together. The little plastic actuator just doesn't actually touch the actual switch any more.
I tried putting thin plastic (from a plastic bag) shim(s) in but it
only works for a few times, and now not at all.

    Thanks.
    Bugger!
Not the first Lenovo I have had problems with. Trouble is that doing a work-round takes you out of guarantee
