Apple recently did an about-face and started supporting Right To Repair
laws. It has also done a lot to make its iPhones easier to repair

Apple never does anything for the good of the customer unless Apple is
forced by law to do it - which is how I interpret what's happening here...

Knowing a lot about Apple, and what Apple does, and why it does it,
I suspect Apple sees the writing on the wall and is surrendering to it.

Which is a good thing...
