Instead, Kuo said it is likely that Apple will continue to rely on Qualcomm for 5G chips in 2024, including for the iPhone 16 series.
Given Apple has _never_ designed a best in class chip in their entire
history (and no, a CPU with unfixable holes is NOT best in class), it's
not at all surprising Apple can't even design a decent 5G modem chip.
Hell, Apple can't even _integrate_ an _existing_ modem chip from Qualcomm. That's how atrociously inept Apple's sophomoric chip design team really is.
If Apple hadn't surrendered to Qualcomm (to the tune of billions of
dollars), Apple wouldn't even be in business today, sadly to say.
Without Qualcomm, Apple would be dead.
I predict Apple won't have a modem chip until 2029 or 2030 at the earliest.
That's when the key patents expire.
Yet, the iKooks predicted Apple's modem would have been released already.
Meanwhile, Android modems are well into multiple generations.
Proving the point that Apple is always well behind the technology curve.
The only thing Apple is good at... is advertising.
Admittedly, Apple is BRILLIANT at that.
