  • Soylent News shutting down; announced on Slashdot

    For those of us that remember congregating on Soylent and comp.misc as
    refugees from Slashdot, this is bitterly ironic. The walkout was in
    2013 I believe, so a full decade.

    Usenet marches on, of course. And Slashdot appears to be a wholly new
    crowd.

    Life goes on.

    I think they did, their "green" pouch says it's 100% people-free (or it
    did at one time, but they've seemingly changed the packaging / website
    since then, so ... )
