Have you checked the properties for the personality in Pandora?
Yes - see http://255soft.uk/temp/Clipboard01.jpg .
Depending upon one's server "User Name" might need to include an @....
suffix (as mine do -- the "user name" is the full login to the server, >independent of the email address used with said server, and for me "user >name" and "E-Mail Address" are identical)
I think I tried that when doing my TeamViewer session, though possibly
not with all combinations.
https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Email-settings-IMAP-amp-PO >>P3/ta-p/2204399
says don't use MD5, but I think we tried it anyway.
Note that this page specifies username as [email protected] -- your
image doesn't seem to have enough text in the user name field to qualify.
Unfortunately, Pandora doesn't have the equivalent of Eudora's esoteric
logging, so one can not capture full traffic... And I'm not going to
suggest one install/configure WireShark just to capture all bytes involving >SMTP mail...
Trying to do that over TeamViewer - given that I've never actually used wireshark - would be quite a challenge!
Uhm...
Your image does show a "lineone.net" email address. The expansion on
the settings website indicates that the login/username should be
[email protected]
with the server being
smtp.tiscali.co.uk
Yes, I noticed that. She's using the TalkTalk SMTP server in Eudora,
though, and that's working. I think it's something to do with, she was originally with lineone, and stayed with it (i. e. using the email
servers for free - for several years!) while moving to another ISP,
before switching to TalkTalk - rather than being with TalkTalk at the
point where they took over lineone. However, I've passed your post on to
her (she doesn't do newsgroups).
