I have placed multiple clients at tutanota.com. They're _very_ privacy focused, and probably not a good fit for you.
*DEFINITELY* ;/
In fact the feature list at
https://tutanota.com/email-comparison raves
about some "features" being present/absent in their/competition's
product. I judge some to be an advantage of the competition. That page
is useful in listing some they consider competition [e.g. Protonmail,
Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, Posteo, Hushmail, Fastmail, Mailbox,
Startmail, Riseup, etc.]
That gives me a list of viable prospects ;}
I just placed a client at zoho.com. They have a suite of offerings including email. The config is a bit of a wander due to this generality, but their tech support is easy to reach and seemed to know the product. My client chose them because they have web mail, but also IMAP and even POP support.
I don't have anywhere the years of experience with them as Tutanota, but--so far, so good.
Didn't find much on the web. I suspect they are too focused on being productivity software to be attractive to an individual user wishing
email only.
I've been having an offline discussion with Lorem Ipsum and recently got replies to a related post on alt.comp.software.seamonkey .
I'm getting a better idea on the what and why of my preferences.
As I have much free time the next couple of days, I'll more thoroughly investigate the list of options Tutanota so conveniently provided.
Depending on how educable I am, there may be a "How to ask a question"
post in our future.
Thanks again.
