  • State of CI on Github

    Until now the continuous integration for the Tcl and Tk development was
    done on Github and the results of the workflow runs were shown on

    https://github.com/tcltk/tcl/actions

    and

    https://github.com/tcltk/tk/actions

    However, the above web pages haven't been refreshed for 7 days now.
    Does somebody know the reason?

    Please ask on the core list...
    AFAIK, there was a limit of free tasks exceeded.

    AFAIK, there was a limit of free tasks exceeded.

    That's most probably not the reason.

    The sync between the Github (mirror) repository and the (main) fossil repository apparently stopped working a few days ago.

    Then Github action is not seeing any new commit and therefore does not
    launch CI (trigger is on push).

    This happens from time to time. Some cronjob must be restarted IIRC.
    Usually I ping Andreas Kupries in this case (in the chat, or by email -
    now cc'ed).

    to a new, better server: from 16GiB of RAM to 64GiB and using SSDs, also
    double the cores. Whenever core.tcl-lang.org is booted, the various
    credentials have to be manually reloaded. Andreas did that earlier
    today. So the sync should be working again.
