    Did you use "-mode passive" in "ftp::Open"? It looks like the default
    is still "active".

    Thank you! Adding this option resolved all of the issues immediately.
    And yes, it is from tcllib and the version number is "2.4.13."

    Hello,

    Is anybody using this package? I was testing it and got frustrated. It
    either does not connect to the server at all or when it does, it doesn't
    work in the sense that the ftp::List returns nothing, hangs or results
    in an error message. I thought it might be with the server I am using so
    I tested it on a bunch of other publicly available ones with the same
    result.
