  • VO 2.8 SP4b 2838 - Dialogs appear as "Non-Compatible"

    Good day everyone,

    I am looking to speed up my app and am wondering if there is something that is slowing things down because of the "Non-Compatible" form.

    If so, is there something I need to do to correct this?

    Your description is not clear! What do you mean by "Non-Compatible" form?

    Is this a runtime issue or compile issue, or window editor issue?

    Please elaborate more and post a link to a screenshot.

    Hi Jamal,

    Actually I checked with version 2.5 B3 and they appear that way there as well.

    So, the bigger issue is that big dialogs in 2.8 sp4 take a noticeable longer to spawn than in 2.5b3.

    Do you have any ideas on how to make these launch quiker?

    John,

    You need to be more specific since I do not have VO 2.5 B3.

    Are you talking about Dialog or DataWindow?

    How many controls are you displaying on the form?

    Did you write any code any in Events such as Expose, PostInit, Activate,
    etc?

    I can go on and on with questions, so I suggest you provide "detailed" information about your forms structure, etc.
