Ironically I was first using Usenet in 1983 when I started to work for
(mis) Fortune Systems, which was selling its 32:16 UNIX business workstation.

There are several usenet servers. I use Eternal September, which is free.
There are also newsgroup readers. I use NewsTap on my iPad (again free),
and Thunderbird on other systems. I only occasionally use google, if I
neednto search for something.
