Another issue with my new computer running Windows 10
is that GMIC does not want to work. I had no trouble
downloading, installing and using it on my Windows 7
machine.
I got the Windows 64 bit version installer from
https://gmic.eu/download.shtml. I noticed that
this installer says that it is installing for GIMP 2.4,
even though the webpage claims it is for GIMP
2.8.
After installing and adding the plugin to the
Preferences in GIMP, upon restart I get the
error message
"gmic_gimp_qt.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point g_get_home_dir_utf8
could not be located in the dynamic link library
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\biin\libgimpbase-2.0.0.dll"
I must add that I followed the installer and let it
put the gimc folder in my user directory, in
.gimp-2.8/plug-ins/gmic_gimp_qt.
Should it go into the GIMP 2 folder in Progam Files?
This is the second hiccup I am having with the move to
Windows 10.
Any help will be appreciated.
