  • Scaling a pattern before filling -- Forgot the little trick

    Sorry to bother the NG again, but I forgot the
    little trick that enables one to change the scale
    (or, if you prefer, the size) of a pattern before
    filling.

    I remember that when one right clicks a little
    dialogue box opens up where one can adjust
    the scale.

    I also remember that it does NOT work if you
    right click on the pattern icons in the Toolbox
    window. But, I do not remember how one
    does that. I was expalined to me a few months
    back :-(

    Can someone please jog my memory. I promise
    to write it down this time!

    Alas! The registry site seems to have been down for some months
    and I cannot get to the script now.

    Hopefully, some of the alternative methods being talked about for
    getting plugins, etc. will come online soon.

    Thanks for the pointer. Yes, this is the thread.

    No, I do keep the threads. I guess I should. I set my newsreader
    to delete messages older than 90 days.

    I had even forgotten about the script.

    I will try, from now to keep articles/threads of interest, though
    I find keeping a simple text file(s) with the interesting articles is
    a bit easier.

    I managed to get to the archived page and find out that the
    file in question is called

    scale_pattern.scm

    If anyone has a copy, can you please post it as an attachment?
