  • [VICE] Enlange display

    I use VICE with Linux. Having activated full screen and double size and
    double scan. But have a quite big large frame around the area displaying
    the machine, see <http://www.ankman.de/vice.png>.

    I wonder if it's possible to have the top and bottom border of the (blue) Commodore 64 outer frame touching or be closer to the physical borders of
    the screen of the host computer that it would look like <http://www.ankman.de/vice2.png>.

    On my system the bottom border still has the status/menu display,
    but is otherwise (I think) pretty close to what you want by toggling full-screen mode with Alt-D. I hope that helps.

    Resolution of whole screen is 1440 x 900.

    Try using Alt-D to go full screen without activating double size.

    You can use ALT-b to get rid of it, and ALT-b to also get rid of the
    mouse pointer.

    I had full screen already.

    I used XrandR. I figured that if I use VidMode it the Commodore 64 screen almost fills out the entire screen. But causes problems to no show the
    menu (after ALT-b) and the mouse running through the screen (vanishing on
    top and coming out at the bottom). I cannot get any menu option. VICE also crashed frequently when I use this.

    Am back to the smaller display with XrandR, which works reliable.
