Honored to find members of authenthic C64 groups.
I can say that the C64 Art/Code/Demo scene very much affected and
defined my development as a Musician and an artist.
Every time some of the Groups pushed the boudaries of C64 hardware and
music synth art expression and scanline interrupt effect synestesia,
it was... WOW!
Can't find the article you reply to.
Anyway when I was in an electronic store around 1984 I found a Commodore 64 tape with the game "Cave of 64". It was very cheap and when I played it
it was boring as hell. I wondered if I was able to crack it and port it to floppy disk. It was amazingly easy. IIRC I just copied the loaded game, using a cartridge monitor to a floppy disk and removed one JMP address which
checked for data.
I never cracked any other game after that.
