Depends on the theme under which the portal was created, as well as the
line color used for the portal.
It sounds like you're talking about style, Howard. If so, what if I want
to create my own style?
Some THEMES offer more formatting choices than others, especially when
it comes to portals and checkboxes. Scrollbars are not separately
formattable on ANY layout object. On some object types/themes, changing
the line thickness and/or color will help and on some they will not
help. You can create your own styles, but they all generally start from
a base style that is associated with the theme. With the above
limitations, scrollbars aren't something that can be specifically set as
part of your style.
There is no question for me that FileMaker's implementation of themes
and styles is confusing and inconsistent and frustrating. But what they
have given is us is all we have, which is likely to be the case for many versions to come.
