  • Need help with general-purpose compression technique.

    Hi! I'm currently working on a general-purpose compression technique and am doing poorly. Right now, I'm using a LZ variant, Canonical Huffman, a version of BPE and my own ideas on data that would otherwise be uncompressed. Based on the information I
    gave, what can I do to improve the technique?

    I forgot to mention this: I swapped Canonical Huffman for Adaptive Huffman and now I'm doing much better. :) I also want other ideas.
