THIS is pretty serious.
Expected it for awhile - now it's getting more formal.
To a fair degree, these countries can just GO AROUND
the USA ... act/trade like it doesn't exist. Huge amount
of military power behind them too.
I fear Trump went TOO hard-ass.
Understand his plan, but is it WORKING as expected ?
This isn't the 1940s anymore, the USA is not the
center of the economic/political world.
As such our 'leverage' is LIMITED now.
Did Trump exceed the limit ???
Clue, India is going to DUMP the USA, some of
the EU too. It's going to get VERY close with
China and Russia now.
Were Indian tariffs bad ? Well, for the USA,
they were. However adding a "Russia Tax" on
top of it all was Too Much.
Trump HAD to add a "Russia Tax" - ONLY possible
way to restrain Vlad short of nukes.
But looks like that isn't working very well.
Joe/K/WokieComs ... would have been WORSE alas.
Hey, reality favors NONE. It's always a bit of
a craps-shoot.
I don't blame Trump - he's doing as well as he
can with what's out there. Still trust him far
more than the WokieComs.
But a "good outcome" (for USA/West) - NOT sure.
