Poland's new conservative president blocked legislation to extend
child benefits for Ukrainian refugees in Poland, saying only those
who work should receive them.

On the surface it just looks like some petty malice
for immediate political appearances.

However there are two messages just below the skin
of this.

(1) Poland expects Ukraine to LOSE - more or less -
to Russia in the long run and doesn't want half
the pop moving north.

(2) Poland (and others) just DON'T HAVE THE MONEY
ANYMORE for this kind of shit.

The second item is what's more relevant IMHO.
Despite putting up appearances, the EU has
kind of gone BROKE. Just yesterday the German
chancellor said its welfare state is "unsustainable"

WHY is the EU broke ? Way too much "free money"
socialism for one thing. CHINA is the other big
thing. The money they THOUGHT they would have
for all that 'free' stuff, China ATE it.

And the UK ... it's about an inch away from several
flavors of implosion now - economic and social.
I'm hearing more and more ordinarily staid Brit
pundits actually predicting a giant nationalist
uprising soon. No money, moronic 'leaders', way too
many Islamists - Brits have about HAD it.

In any case, our 'allies' are running on empty
and the USA itself is deeply in debt. 101% Trump
won't fix that anytime soon and 0.1% Dem will
just make it far worse faster.
