    There is a "Queens Carnival", where some of the parade will be clad in
    bikinis and the like as a part of their elaborate costumes.

    And as a SEPARATE part of the overall event, there will be a "Kiddie
    Carnival"

    Caribbean carnivals have been celebrated in lots of cities for many
    years (Toronto for instance)
