An appeals court on Thursday threw out a more than $500 million
judgment against President Trump and his business empire in a sharply splintered ruling that paves the way for further proceedings before
    New Yorks highest court.

The decision from a five-judge panel is a significant legal boost for
Trump, freeing him, for now, from a massive penalty that caused him
financial headaches last year. It also underscores the controversial
nature of the case from New York Attorney General Letitia James, both
in its underlying legal issues and the political implications of an
elected Democratic enforcer taking on the then-former Republican
    president.

While harm certainly occurred, it was not the cataclysmic harm that
can justify a nearly half billion-dollar award to the State, Justice
Peter Moulton wrote in one of three opinions, totaling 323 pages, none
    of which commanded a majority.

Trump called the decision a TOTAL VICTORY.

I greatly respect the fact that the Court had the Courage to throw
out this unlawful and disgraceful Decision that was hurting Business
all throughout New York State, he wrote on his social media platform
    Truth Social.

The New York attorney generals office did not immediately return a
    request for comment.

Of course she didn't have anything to say.

    Laughter!

They didn't void the verdict, doofus.

I guess we know why you didn't quote this part, huh?

'In the first of three opinions, two justices agreed that the presiding
trial judge, Arthur Engoron, correctly found Trump liable for fraud.
They said that Engoron rightly imposed a variety of penalties that could restrict the Trump Organization’s ability to borrow money and bar his
sons from running the company. The penalties, they wrote, were “well
crafted to curb defendants’ business culture.”'
