No. He did NOT tell anyone to do anything except read the relevant law
    and decide for themselves.

And since the United States has not been invaded...

...and there hasn't been a rebellion (protests aren't that)...

...and even if there were the law states:

"Orders for these purposes shall be issued through the governors of the
States or, in the case of the District of Columbia, through the
commanding general of the National Guard of the District of Columbia."

    Which was not done.

    Trump's order was therefore unlawful,

And military personnel have a duty to refuse to obey unlawful orders.

You know that if you'd ever served in the military.

'In the oath that service members take, they pledge to “obey the orders
of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers
appointed over me…” The Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ)
specified that they are required to obey “the lawful orders of his/her superior.”'

Seems that AlleyCat doesn’t understand that the Oath is to the US Constitution and it carries a personal obligation to not obey illegal
    orders.

Same as when Trump said, "go to the Capitol PEACEFULLY", and you faggot liberals said he was committing insurrection.

    He said "peacefully"...

    ...once...

...and very early in his speach.

He said "fight" over and over and over...

...and as practically the last thing he said before telling everyone to
    march on the Capitol

    Just answer the question.

Alan already did so and he is correct: the Oath of Service taken by the
US Military specifically **obligates** them to disobey illegal orders.

It has already been noted that Trump's orders to the NG & USMC are
illegal because of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878.

And you know this to be true, which is why you try to dishonestly
deflect to irrelevant factors: that it happens to be a Canadian who is
telling you what US law says on this subject.
