Elon Musk appeared to support the idea that President Donald Trump should be removed from office, as the two former allies continued publicly sniping at each other Thursday.
Yes, Musk wrote on X in response to a post that proposed Trump be impeached and replaced by Vice President JD Vance.
Musk and Trump spent much of Thursday afternoon lobbing threats and insults from their respective social media platforms, in a rapid escalation of a rift that formed after Musk amicably left his formal government role last week and began criticizing a massive tax and immigration package championed by Trump.
Earlier Thursday, Trump had suggested the federal government terminate contracts with SpaceX, the space technology company owned by Musk.
In response, Musk said SpaceX would begin decommissioning its Dragon
spacecraft immediately.
Musk also warned that Trumps tariffs would cause a recession in the second half of this year.
