Warren Buffett admitted that he only started to 'become old' when
he hit the age of 90 which led to the Wall Street legend
finally stepping down from Berkshire Hathaway at 94.
Earlier this month, the 'Oracle of Omaha' attracted gasps and
then a standing ovation when he broke the news during the
annual meeting of his firm.
Buffett gave no specific reason when he announced his departure,
merely endorsing long-time chairman Greg Abel as his successor,
starting in 2026.
'I think the time has arrived where Greg should become the
chief executive officer of the company at year end,'
Buffett said.
However, in a new interview, Buffett admitted that his age
was finally catching up to him as he headed toward
his mid-90s.
. . .
Buffet has been admittedly maybe THE sharpest
investor in the world. GREAT instincts.
But, time catches up with us all.
Now he admits he can't really DO it anymore.
Someone else has to take the helm.
Somehow I doubt he's gonna wind up in a
Medicare old-age home ........ although
too many STILL do ..............
Being Smart-Biz DOES have its perks.
Buffet has been not only rich but highly
INFLUENTIAL ... actually SHAPING the state
of the markets. MANY follow his lead.
Nope, he's not socialist or MAGA or anything
else we know ... he's been reading the signs
and moving accordingly. Fairly "objective".
He SOLD a lot of stocks in January - but has
bought back in to a fair degree. Does not seem
to think Trump=Doom ... just Something Different.
Anyway, love or hate him, we WILL suffer for
Buffet being out of the game. His sensibility
WAS oracle-like.
