In an exclusive interview with NewsNation, Border Patrol
Chief Mike Banks says the agency will not take its foot
off the gas regarding border security.
It comes as the Border Patrol continues to battle against
criminal cartels who are currently fighting each other for
territory to traffic drugs and people through Mexico and
into the United States.
Banks says that as the U.S. puts greater pressure on the
cartels, it is becoming more dangerous for law enforcement.
As such, Banks says he supports the U.S. using any available
resources to go after the cartels.
“In the first 100 days, we’ve seized over a quarter-million
pounds of hard narcotics that would have gone to the streets
of America,” Banks told NewsNation.
. . .
The cartels are SERIOUSLY PISSED-OFF about Trump
cutting their revenues. As a result they're escalating
their game - more violence, greater slavery, more
tricks, even attack drones.
The USA has suffered from Mex criminals periodically
for a LONG time. The 'govt' there - always a joke.
Future General Patton earned his fame by using armored
warfare against Pancho Villa - another crime gang the
so-called 'Mexican govt" would/could not deal with.
Back THEN it was enough to just push 25 miles or so
into Mexico briefly ... NOW, more complex. Crime
permeates everything everywhere in Mexico. It's
also not so mil-structured as in Villa's time.
Trump HAS expanded the military security zone now
along the border - more aggressive responses are
now allowed. Still may NOT be enough. In the end
we're gonna have to send hit squads into Mexico
to blast cartel leadership and organization and
leverage banking systems to screw-up their money
stream. NOT great - but that's the choice we have.
WE win or THEY win.
