No, tomorrow. But upgrades from 20.04 will be available via
update-manager after the second point release 22.04.1.
You can still upgrade (already before release) by replacing focal/impish
    with jammy in your sources.list.

It was only an exclamation point, not caps :-)

Excuse me; I didn't mean to hurt your ears, eyes, or feelings with my bang.

Pardon me, but you are mistaken; it is scheduled for Apr 21.

    $ grep -v "#" /etc/apt/sources.list | sed 's/focal/jammy/g'

This is one way to directly upgrade.
Please make sure your 3rd party repositories also support jammy.
Before upgrading I recommend checking which packages are locally
installed (not available in any repository) and uninstall all you don't
need anymore. Often there are many libraries that are orphaned and not
    needed anymore.

You can use apt list to find them out, e.g.

    m@ryz:~$ LANG=EN; apt list |grep ',local'

WARNING: apt does not have a stable CLI interface. Use with caution in
    scripts.

    google-earth-pro-stable/now 7.3.5.8556-r0 amd64 [installed,local]

Hold off, there are still some bugs.

    One is with snaps

Yes I have removed it. It hasn't got everything I need. For example
Tasksel hasn't got Lamp server yet and that alone makes me wonder when
will they get their act together.

My use of Ubuntu is very minimal but it is more specialised as far as
web hosting is concerned. Tasksel allowed me to install a web server on
which I can test my apps before uploading to the virtual cloud hosting.

20.04.4 is enough for now. I'll wait until October/November to see if it
    has improved.

I did manage to get my 22.04 working OK but it is a bit slower than 20.04

I now think I will stay with it but probably go with an ssd.

The mechanical drive I can store as a backup
