"How a botched kernel patch broke Ubuntu - and why it may happen again" Article: <https://www.theregister.com/2022/07/08/kernel_patch_borked_ubuntu_systems>
Panic? Really?
One of the comments to that article says that he runs Mint and he
*always* compiles the latest release from kernel.org and uses that
instead of his distro's. Hmmm.
The other person whose blog I read who is 'perpetually' compiling things
is Barry Kauler who builds everything for Easy OS these days from/with
(a fork of) OpenEmbedded/Yocto.
I don't see anything 'surprising' about glitches popping up when you
want both LTS as well as 'updates'.
Or point releases vs rolling.
