• Best mac app for reading and posting to newsgroups?

From Oriole@21:1/5 to All on Sat Jun 8 18:15:57 2024
I'm currently using Usenapp and wondering if this is the best way to read discussions and post on usenet. Generally I like it, but it hangs frequently when reading long threads or sometimes when refreshing headers. I'm wondering if there is a better solution for browsing and reading discussion threads on Mac? Thanks for any suggestions.

if you want something made specifically for the mac there's Unison, be
aware that it is abandonware, slightly buggy from my usage, and has
retained the looks of late 2000's mac apps (which may or may not be a
    downside)

Pan is available through Homebrew and MacPorts

Seamonkey looks like it's Intel only. But thunderbird looks good. I'll check
    it out. Thanks.

Yeah, Unison was great years ago but it's not really viable longterm as it was never ported to Apple Silicon. I'll check out Pan. Thanks.
