    You should add that the rifle's stock *should* have been scratched up
    by the bolt assembly. As Ian Griggs did the simple thing - he
    recreated what was asserted. He disassembled a rifle, and put it in a
    bag. He found that the stock got scratched up by the bolt assembly.
