Ana Navarro claimed that by deploying the U.S. Army National Guard to Los Angeles amid violent riots that were targeting federal agents President Donald Trump was using them to set a trap for Latinos and force them into a violent reaction.

Navarro made the comments during Mondays broadcast of The View on ABC, as she and her cohosts attacked the Trump administration first for sending Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to enforce federal immigration
laws and then for sending in the National Guard when protesters violently attacked the federal agents.

Today, he is sending in the National Guard to attack the protesters who are there, Navarro who immigrated to the United States legally said, suggesting that the point of bringing the National Guard in was for them to attack the protesters. And look, this for me hits really close, Im Latino, Im an immigrant, these are my people who are getting dragged through the streets.

She went on to warn the Latino community that Trump had sent the National
Guard to goad them into committing acts of violence. We must be strategic,
we must be nonviolent. We have the right to protest, we are Americans, this
is our country, we have the right to free speech, but we cannot fall into the trap that Donald Trump is setting of wanting to turn this into violent protests.

She then asserted that Trump wanted violence to distract from the fact that
he and Elon Musk had argued over the One Big Beautiful Bill.

    Navarro decries ICE wearing masks:
The people who didnt want to wear during a pandemic really want
to wear a lot of masks now that theyre dragging women through the
    streets. pic.twitter.com/MslXcStDb8

Navarro concluded by attacking the ICE agents for wearing masks which, according to acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, has been permitted due to the number of agents who have been threatened or have had their families threatened.

The people who didnt want to wear during a pandemic really want to wear a
lot of masks now that theyre dragging women through the streets, she complained.

If they're already violent, they can't be forced into it.

Navarro made the comments during Mondays broadcast of The View on ABC, as >she and her cohosts attacked the Trump administration first for sending >Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to enforce federal immigration >laws and then for sending in the National Guard when protesters violently >attacked the federal agents.

They are free to protest. But when they become violent, they've
    broken the law.

Today, he is sending in the National Guard to attack the protesters who are >there, Navarro who immigrated to the United States legally said, >suggesting that the point of bringing the National Guard in was for them to >attack the protesters. And look, this for me hits really close, Im Latino, >Im an immigrant, these are my people who are getting dragged through the >streets.

My wife is a Latina, though she was born and raised in the U.S.
Her parents came to the States from El Salvador LEGALLY. And they want
illegals out. As does my wife.
I'm from Poland. I came here legally. I find people being here
illegally VERY offensive. I know Poland isn't the same as a Latin
American country, but one still has to immigrate either way.

She went on to warn the Latino community that Trump had sent the National >Guard to goad them into committing acts of violence.

Many already were. People who are already committing acts of
violence can't be goaded into it.

    We must be strategic,
we must be nonviolent. We have the right to protest, we are Americans, this >is our country, we have the right to free speech, but we cannot fall into the >trap that Donald Trump is setting of wanting to turn this into violent >protests.

Peaceful protests are fine. Whether others agree with the message
or not, if the people are peaceful, they will have no need to fear.

She then asserted that Trump wanted violence to distract from the fact that >he and Elon Musk had argued over the One Big Beautiful Bill.

Um, they're disagreement isn't anything worth diverting from.

I would ask for valid evidence that these people didn't want to
wear masks during the pandemic. But I'm confident no such evidence
    would be offered.
