Wow, if true, they will be the first mercenary group to have their own
nuclear arsenal. Maybe they'll use them against Zelenski.

Uranium Plant Explosion in Russia Sparks Nuclear Radiation Fears
Footage showing what appears to be a missile strike in an area near a
Russian military nuclear facility has surfaced online.
The Voronezh 45 nuclear weapons storage site, which houses Soviet-era
warheads, was accessed by Wagner units during their recent mutiny in
Russia, according to the Freedom of Russia Legion.
Now, it appears an area close to the site may be under attack as
challenges to the Kremlin's military rule seemingly rumble on.
Pro-Ukrainians and vocal Russia critics have shared several clips
circulating on Twitter and Telegram suggesting Voronezh - a city located
300 km east of Ukraine's border with Belgorod - is "under attack".
Igor Sushko, a vocal commentator on the Ukraine war, shared multiple
videos of the incident on Twitter, captioning one: "Voronezh in Russia
is under attack! Doubtful this has anything to do with Ukraine. Appears
to be internal Russian developments. The Voronezh-45 nuclear military
facility captured by Wagner PMC during the coup is in the area."
Voronezh sits on the Voronezh River in southwestern Russia.
According to Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukraine's military
intelligence, Wagner Group fighters attempting to dislodge the Kremlin's
top military generals had advanced further into Russia than originally
believed last month
In fact, Ukrainian intelligence mapped a "surveillance trail goes cold
about 100 km from the nuclear base, Voronezh-45", he told Reuters.
Meanwhile, the Freedom of Russia Legion, a Ukrainian-based paramilitary
group of Russian citizens, claimed in an interview with Express.co.uk
that a large group of Wagner fighters were able gain access to the
Voronezh 45 site without meeting any resistance.
The Legion's commander, whose nom de guerre is Caesar, said: "I want
people around the world to understand the seriousness of the danger we
are facing.
"The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station has been mined and the situation
with Prigozhin showed that any powerful criminal group can take control
of Russia's nuclear arsenal.
"We have reliable information that during the mutiny one of his units - consisting of 21 armored vehicles and over 100 soldiers - took under its control the nuclear weapons storage site Voronezh 45."
Russia's nuclear storage system is based on 12 central sites, such as
Voronezh 45 and about 35 base-level facilities - essentially a military
base within a military base.
Budanov says that Voronezh-45 "is one of the facilities that
significantly raises the stakes" if "you are prepared to fight until the
last man standing".
He claimed Wagner troops descended on the site but said the "doors of
the storage were closed and they didn't get into the technical section".
The Kremlin has sought to discredit claims Prigozhin's men were close to seizing control of the facility during their botched coup attempt last
month.
Dmitry Peskov, Putin's spokesperson, told reporters that he "does not
have information" on the allegations and argued they could have been
falsified, Russia's TASS news agency reported.
Putin has not been shy of boasting of Russia's significant nuclear
arsenal and his willingness to use it in stark threats made amid the
Ukraine conflict.
President Joe Biden said during a press conference in Helsinki that
there is "no real prospect of Putin using nuclear weapons" when asked
about whether Putin could escalate actions in Ukraine following the
failed mutiny attempt.
It marked an apparent U-turn on Biden's earlier stance, in which the
president suggested Putin may be tempted to draw from his nuclear
stockpile. He blasted Putin's decision to deploy tactical nuclear
weapons to Belarus as "absolutely irresponsible" as he indicated the
Russian president could use them.
